Executive Director of EPOCA Cassandra Bensahih rallying the crowds at a Jobs NOT Jails action at the Massachusetts Statehouse, 2014

Criminal Justice Initiative has been our steadfast supporter and made it possible for us to achieve many victories.

From winning CORI Reform with the Commonwealth CORI Coalition, to CHINS (Child in Need of Services) Reform with Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children and the Children’s League, to stopping dangerous “Three-Strikes” legislation, winning partial mandatory minimum sentencing reform for drug offenses, to raising a rallying cry, building a movement and legislation to create Jobs NOT Jails, Criminal Justice Initiative has been our partner every step of the way.

CJI has been there to help us win our most important victory, the development of our members, people who were formerly incarcerated or had/have criminal records into strong leaders in our communities.
